How would you briefly introduce yourself to the fans?
Hello, my name is peremene Jimmy gidion, and I'm from Nigeria.
What were your football beginnings like? Where and by whom were you introduced to the football?
It's a long story but first of all I would like to thank the man who gave me my first ever football boots, i was playing football with Barefoot with my friends and this man who was in training in the field where everyone go watch football was outside for some break came to me and we started juggling the ball without it falling for about 30 minutes, and he was amazed by how I can control the ball like that without falling down. And he told me he will give me football boots. And then since from that I started playing football. And was coached by one of the best coaches in bayelsa in my city. And he has played in professional football in Nigeria before and he teached me everything I know about football and also R.i.p to izuo guilet he will always be in my heart <3
How did your first contract in the Czech Republic actually come about? And why specifically Czech Republic?
My first contract came out when my friend mentor too kabokeme Sinclair made everything happen for me i Will Forever be grateful to him, he has been here in Czech Republic few times travelled around in Europe for sometime so he has a manager agent libor pav and they made contact together and he made contact for me with this agent that's how I travel to Czech Republic in winter 2014 we travel to Czech and it was good experience for the first time and the cold weather but you have to get used to it.
What was the hardest thing for you after arriving in the Czech Republic?
The hardest thing is the language barrier and the weather you can't communicate with the players especially inside the game of play and of course you have communicate with your coach as well.
What is the football environment like in Nigeria? How does it compare to the Czech scene, and in what ways is it different?
Nigeria football compare to here is different. Two different leagues different style of play, I mean technically is different from Czech football i mean in Czech you have to be very strong and be on your feet all the time because the ball comes to you every 10 or 15 seconds.
You made the transition from the youth ranks to the senior level in Náchod. What was that transition like, and how do you look back on your time in Náchod?
My transition from youth team to senior levels a good experience for me. Because I had a very great time in my youthful age and i was excited going from youthful football to senior levels because it always my dream play with men. I mean FK Náchod I'm very grateful for everything because it was my first club in Czech Republic and I had a really good time and experience and i learned a lot over my career over so I'm thankful to FK Náchod and I hope one day I'll meet them again.
Leaving Strunkovice aside, which place where you played was the best? Which one became closest to your heart?
I would say Benátky nad Jizerou was the best because I spent about 6 years in that club and i really appreciate all the love they show me both in the field and outside of the pitch.
You even played in the Divize league in Benátky nad Jizerou. Is there a big difference between the leagues?
I wouldn't say is a big difference because in football match everyone game is like a final because both teams wants to win so yeah.
In 2024, you even played for Benátky against the top-flight club Jablonec. What was that experience like?
It was good experience playing big team like Jablonec because you know what you have to give in a game like this.
Let's finally get to Strunkovice. How are you enjoying it here so far? What’s the dressing room atmosphere like, and how have they welcomed you?
I'm enjoying my team with Strunkovice So much, the love the boys my teammates showed me even from the first day of arrival was very special and I want to thank them for that and I appreciate them more than they think. This is like a family to me and the atmosphere wow amazing the fans everyone wow amazing.
You’ve clearly settled in quickly here—averaging a goal every 80 minutes. That’s great! It really suits you here, doesn't it?
Yes I settled down quickly because the coaches gave me big opportunity to show my skills and the only way for me to repay them is scoring goals as much i can to help my teammates so I love it here.
You’ve probably gotten to know your teammates by now, so tell us a little something :) Who does the most to keep the mood up in the locker room?
The mood in the team i would say everybody. Mostly I'll say our goalkeeper is a very hyped man and Dominic (Dominik Štěch).
If Nigeria were to face the Czech Republic at the international level, who would you root for?
